Huh? We haven’t released a Western larp yet. We’ve said that we’re announcing it in a few days, but we haven’t actually released anything yet. There’s literally no info there except “We’re doing a Western larp”.

Nothing more. Nothing less. ;-)

I wrote the blog post because the comment was an interesting one.

I’ve seen quite a few of those in relation to other larps, so this was more of a “This is a trend I’m seeing” post. That’s why I talk about James Bond, since it’s an example from the movies that most can relate to. I started by using a superhero film as a reference, but realised that not everyone watches superhero movies.

When the info DOES come out, then I totally expect people to either applaud or criticise the choices we have made, which is perfectly normal. What is interesting to me, is that I see more and more people being engaged before info is available.

I think all of us who are involved in 1878 are VERY aware that doing a Western larp is a minefield. Let’s just say that we our discussions in relation to this larp haven’t been related to logistics. ;-)
